I heard that the reason U.S invaded Iraq (middle east) was to kill Islam as a religion. Is that true. If true then why is Bush not doing anything about the clause Iraqi’s put in their constipation…constitution making Islam the oficial religion.

I mean he tried. He tired to make sure that the conservative clerics were not brought to power. Some were killed. Others were bullied. Al-Sadr was even called a terrorist. They tried and failed.

Tsk tsk hwo did Al-Sadr fail? Is he not still in power? Secondly i don't remember Sistani and Al-Sadr ever being on opposite teams. They are on the same team.

He failed to get rid of America. He failed to ally the Shia groups in Iraq with the Sunni terrorists. Al-Sistani was the one who stopped the mess the young idiot Sadr was making. Shias in Iraq themselves are divided with Sadr’s group being in the minority. The SCIRI, Badr Brigades and Mahdi Army are with the Shia majority. In case you missed the news last week, Shias were fighting EACH other in Najaf and Baghdad.
