Kaleem, democracy is a man made concept, it is ever evolving…give it time man. The world is much better place than ever before, just wihtin the last 50 years because of democracy and free markets, people are healthier, richer, live longer, have a more active voice in their governance than ever before…you can thank AMerica for leading the way. No system, I repeat, No system man made or godly has ever produced such perfect symbiosis of governance, freedom and wealth creation that democracy propagates.
C’mon Kaleem. There was wholesale bombing of Afghanistan when Pakistan was backing the Taliban too, so it is not limited to democracies. Democracy is a slow, hard fought process, especially for people who have to look in a dictionary to found out what it means or ask they mullah if it is permissable (of course it’s not, that lessens their influence and power).
There has been huge progress toward democracy in the ME and Asia with relatively little bloodshed (not counting the ongoing murders by jihadis). And when those governments in question are aiding, supporting and financing murder and mayhem around the globe, then they will continued to be forced to change.
As for Bush - he has made no progress in domestic policies and I will let you be the judge at how ‘moral’ his adminsitration is based on your take of murder for oil.
