Its not the "Pakistanis" who milk the social security systems but rather the British/French/whatever of X Descent. Most new immigrants (except for refugees) don't make a beeline to the welfare office in Europe. This isn't the US we're talking about :D

Both this Norwegian and Al-Qaeda use methods that are wrong but some of the causes they might support are just. There is a huge problem in the Middle East - one of them being the issue of Palestine. Other problems such as Western interference and support of friendly dictators is a huge issue. The West has armed and strengthened many regimes which put forward its interests - look no further than Pakistan.

This Norwegian guy also has a legitimate concern - the Islamification of Europe. To us it is no problem but people who are non-Muslim are beginnin to see multi-culturalism as a failure. We seem to be seen wanting this, wanting that and getting everything because human rights legislation supports us.

It is not to do with religion but another case o how human rights legislation actually could favour us. Fair enough he has been coming and going for many years but times and policies change.

I have never lived in Europe so my information might as well be wrong as it only based on views of people I know who lived there and media. But it's a pretty commonly accepted notion that Pakistanis in North America are much more educated and prosperous than Pakistanis in Europe specially UK. Do you disagree?

In this case Anders is no different than the Jihadi's who kill innocents (for differences in the way they practise religion, or non muslims etc etc.).
Or the Hindu terrorists who killed innocents on the Samjhota train.

Every murderer tries to justify their murders/madness/brutality - but killing innocents? That is unacceptable.
Let the Norways justice system sort this out - just like we have to sort our our extremists.

To those who think 20 years is a light sentence - there are provisions in Norwegian law which could keep him in jail longer - possibly for life.

Norway has a very low murder/crime rate - and their recidivism rate is super low - in part because prisoners are conditioned to integrate into society on release and are given the skills/tools to do so.

As for the snide comments about how nice the prison is - well it shouldn't be Norways fault that it can afford decent living conditions for its prisoners - its a socialist democracy - I'm going to guess thats the minimum standard of living all citizens there can enjoy.

When Alqaeda / Islamic terrorists do something we implore the west to look into the causes - Palestine - Iraq - Iran - ass hole foreign policy for the past 50 years - perhaps even bring in colonization.

I guess then we should also look at the reasons why Anders did what he did. It seems a growing number of people in Europe are afraid of increasing Muslim presence in their countries.

Both acts of terror are stupid, even through the reasons might not be considered equally equal (by us?).

Anyway - so the question I'd like to ask is - if immigrants from Russia started arriving in Pakistan, or lets say some African country - would we be okay with the gradual demographic change and cultural change that would come along with them? In other words is multiculturalism okay as long as its in Europe and US and not in our country?

If a 'muslim' kills muslims...........its the fault of muslims.

If a 'christian' kills christians..........its the fault of muslims.

America has a much tougher immigration policy than the UK so only the highly educated get through. Although I'd say that the majority of welfare recipients in the UK are White. It's just some pakistanis are more skilled in milking the system.

peace to you brother...you're right in part..that most muslims are convinced that islam is only truth...but I wasn't talking about that..All I was saying is that it's not possible for someone to convert from islam in a muslim
country without fear of being killed (by law as in iran or by a mob as in some other countries)..Yes I know of false cases of religious atrocities used to get asylum in west..I see some here in california..

So isn't it a treason then for someone to convert a non-muslim to islam in front of 1000s crowds like Zakir Naik does..or the Imam in washington/NY mosque...Why do you make islam a one-way street? Why should one be ashamed of leaving islam? Just like you're convinced it is the only truth that could be, someone could be convinced it might not be? Do you have any room for dissent?

I have already cited reference in UK..there are more which I think you'd already know..So I concur on this line that shamraz wrote in initial post...

You convince me brother that islam indeed is intolerant...
