I ask just to get an idea of what’s normal behavior amongst kids?
Just an example, I was on the bus one time, and this girl sitting behind me asked if she could have my french fries…her mother was sitting right next to her and laughing, even though I thought it was very strange behavior?
my son once just went and stood by a girl eating fries.. she gave him one... i didnt laff.. i was a bit pissed at him cuz i was holding his pack of fries myself! this is how it starts.. right now its cute... maybe to some and not a cause to worry.. but i think this is how asking others for anything you want, starts.... say classmates... i was always taught against this ... shame is attatched to it. or maybe it was just my parents thinking... but nopes... im teaching my son that these days too.. its a bit hard getting through to a 18 month old.... but im working on it...
^ This girl was about 8-9 years old.....ok at the time I did laugh but later I thought it was pretty bad, I kind of think the same way you do that there should be shame attached to asking anybody for anything.
I saw lots of kids who did that.....just come up to you and ask for some money but everyone thinks its cute and look at the fact that its such a small amount that it makes no difference..Whereas, I have never seen this behavior from my nephews or my husbands nieces/nephews....
May be she was starving and she could not resist the temptation .
I agree the kids should not be asking stuff from strangers. It should be part of that training in school and at home where they are taught to not to talk to strangers and are told about good touch and bad touch. No ?
Don’t they cover it in that training ?
I used to work in a mall, once during my break I was eating cookies, this kids came to me and I offered one. She took but her mother got so angry at me. Now I realized that was sp stupid on my part to offer something to a kid I never met before.
I had the similar experience. I used to pat their heads while they were accompanied with their parents. One parent got mad and I learned my lesson the hard way.
That explains it, burger and fries go together and she was missing them.
For the second comment:
What do you expect from FOBs. I was brand new in USA , juma , juma , atth din hoo-a thay Amreeka aye hoo-a.
Please don’t ask me to translate this mahawara.
It was only eight days from Friday to Friday since I came to USA might be the translation , but it does not convey the message.
