When I was 12, I wanted a barbie doll – my little sister wants her own cell-phone.
She keeps telling my mother that all of her friends have a cellphones – and yeah thats true. How’d I know? Because I have seen them use it when they’re over our house. Yeah, okay, I’m very nosy - bite me!
Anyhow, what the hell would you need cell-phone for in 7th grade? You surely aren’t missing any important calls – as you can talk to your friend in school or use the home phone to talk to them.
I got my first cell-phone when I was in 10th grade – and I never wanted it – as it was used as a tracking device by my mother, and other people.
I swear, what is the world coming to these days – especially the kids?
aw come on ppl lets not get so bitter…its called change. now i want my daddy to pay for my flying license and he keeps on saying that at my age he was a bus conductor. I WANT IT NOW!
They want what they see. In the 80's cell phones, laptops, ipods weren;t around so how were kids to ask for them! I'm sure if all of you had seen these things in your childhood you would have asked for them too!
My sister forgotto pick up her 6 yr old from the school bus once and my neice suggested 'mummy i think i should have a cell phone so i can call u if u forget to pick me up again'. Kids are getting smarter with smarter gadgets around them.
I saw 2 tinee menee gals in Victoria Secret the other day, buying thongs, hardly 8 yrs old. I just lost it I said to them, r u buying thongs for urself? n they go aahhh ahhhh, just trying. How old r u? one goes, ahhh… ahhhh…errr 11. B.S. they weren’t more than 7 or 8 and yes, they had cell phones too since mamas left them in the mall to shop around. another little girl standing there said, Ohhhhh u know wot? her boyfriend (pointing at her friend) stares at me when I buy thongs. I said, well he stares ur hiny when u wear it anyway so wot’s the difference! (I don’t think she got that). La’Hola Wala … I think am gonna be a terrible mom, not gonna let me 7-8 yrs old shop in Victoria Secret. tauba tauba
