Kids Say the Darndest Things

(CREDITS) Ok, fine I stole the title from a TV show… but it is true… bachay man kay sachay (this is also the name of a show on GEO)… and inspired by Muzna’s thread in General …

Lately I haven’t been able to spend much time with my older son (4 years old). I used to spend loads of time with him when he was younger but now I have busy work schedule, school, projects, and another beautiful one year old to deal with… but he still craves my attention and at times I feel bad not being able to spend time with him…

Yesterday at night, I was watching GEO (he hates it) and he told me please close the TV it makes your brain dull. I closed the TV immediately, I asked him what should we do and he asked me to play with him. We played with his cars for some time and man, I realized I have been missing his giggles. I dropped everything else at night and spent the whole time with him and put him to bed at night.

In the morning as I was walking out of the garage heading towards my car to get to work he came running and opened the garage door and yelled “Baba, take this…” and he handed me one of the cars that I was playing with last night with him. He then gave me a hug and a kiss and said “Have a good day baba, Allah hafiz…” …. I wanted to stay home and spend more time with him but couldn’t…

Kids…. Can’t imagine life without them…

aww that is so cute, Mashallah :flower2:

kids give us so much inspiration… sigh they are a blessing

p.s off topic, i have a 20 yr old friend who still says “pls close the lights”

The inspiring power of a child's words and actions is immeasurable. If only we could get this message through to those that give up being with their children for other selfish reasons.

When u have kids who want to watch tv ?

I play with them all the time. one is 2.5 yrs and other is 1.5. They always make you busy. Two days ago our light went off, 12 at night. It was hot and humid. So i took them with me in car and turned on the AC and went for a drive I thought they would sleep in some time but. They had no shoes so when i went to departmental store to buy Anda double roti. I had to carry them and then lift the grocery. All of us were in our sleeping dress and we were looking like namooney

Then we went to falooda shop, had a kulfi falooda :yummy:
when we came back home at 1:30 am there was still no sign of light. :frowning: so we went to fried chick outlet ( who have play area for kids) came back at around 2 am and bacha party had plans for nap

aww that is so sweet Chacchoo bhai :) thanks for sharing with us
mashallah

Kids. They are namat and rahmat.

Reminds me of my Nepali friend when she told me about a kid she knows.

The kid had an exam about past tenses and she came back home and said…

"I didn’t know the past tense of “think” and so I thought and thought and thought but still I couldn’t remember what was the past tense of “think” :bummer: "

It had everyone cracking.
