Yes, we've seen many of these characteristics in our boyz lol! Its very cute. One of the things that really surprised me is their occasional subsitution of "V" and "W" sounds...my husband only does this very rarely so its not like a habit that the boys picked up on! lol, but they make those substitutions just like little desis :)
My older brother (when kid) had this habit, after eating his half fried egg he use to lift up his plate with both hands and lick the leftover yolk. in way that plat is is facing his face, like in front of him.
We grew up ---long forgotten.
One day me my sister and elder brother's(same brother) 4-5 son were having breakfast on the table.
So now kid finishes his half fried eggs , lol lifts up his plates with both hands and lick the yolk off the plate.
Me and sister looked at each other and smiled in our eyes. (I miss my family :()

kids take after 6 ppl... mom, dad, maternal granddad, maternal grandmom, paternal grandmom, paternal granddad.
i am the exact replica of my dad, do everything like him.. but my personality is my nanis.. my mom gets amazed some times cuz i never lived in pakistan..
my older bro .. in looks he takes after my dad but again.. his perosnality is a cc of my dada.. even the way he sleeps at night and how his eating habits and how he thinks..
my younger bro's personality is like that of my chacha
so far personality wise.. its my kid sis that has kept to her immediate family and is taking after my mom.. :D
but its amazing.. ppl u have never lived with and u start to take after them..
thats why baray buzurg always say , haddi boti dekh ker shaadi karo, shareef khandaan means a lot. who the grandparents are, who the parents are, a lot of future influences for kids being born into the family
