Kids in the Kitchen !

so , they cant really be ignored now , can they :cb:

I once looked after my friends twins for a few hours and the little one , about 5 years old , started telling me all about stuff she could make … that included all cookie decoration and making lemonade !

I taught her to make roohafza and dood soda :@: … her mom has been on my case forever since then !!!

so what are some of the recipes for the little guys to keep busy and enjoy being in the kitchen … what kind of drinks/ food can we get them engaged with?

Re: Kids in the Kitchen !

My kids help me out a lot:

  1. Taking silverware out of the dishwasher and arranging it in the drawers.
  2. Washing fruit.
  3. Emptying new grocery into containers [not masalas but things like almonds and cookies, etc.].
  4. Organizing our "snack cupboard."
  5. Mixing cake batter.
  6. Peeling garlic.
  7. Making rounds for rotis.

i used to make cakes, muffins, pizzas, smoothies, all kinds of salads, apple turnovers and shape cookies with my niece and nephew when they were younger. it was so much fun  now, i’ve to wait for my own half a dozen kids :cb:] to enjoy with them in the kitchen

Re: Kids in the Kitchen !

yeah , the place where i lived before , a neighbours little one used to come quite often to share food he made himself ... he often used to bring us a cute little piece of pizza, his mom would do the base , he woud do the tomato sauce and arrange veggies to his liking ... and then mom would do the baking and he used to cut peices ...

The amazing bit was that he used to create shapes and pictures for example a flower or a smiley face or a horse etc on the pizza , each piece !
