This thread really is in bad taste. To suggest that this one incident indicates a corrupt society that would condone this idiocy is at the same level of fantastic, scholarly reasoning that would say that Pakistani society is made up exclusively of mukhtaran mais. If you want to show that american society is sick you'd need to show a lot more than this.
Im considering whether I should lock this, or move it to a more appropriate forum. For now I'll leave it here, but could everyone please talk without trying to seem stupid?
