Kids eid party

Salam ,

I wanna start a tradition of having Eid party and focus on the kids. This is going to be my first year doing this, I was thinking of the following and would like your input and suggestions.

Venue : A local park (we have a lot of parks in the city and there are certain picnic areas for rent which can accomodate 50-100 ppl). Should I choose a park with a playground or one with ducks and larks and a lake?

Food : I am thinking pizza (coz I am not in a capacity to cook much so will order this), wings, pasta ???

Dessert : Cupcakes with Eid toppers and wraps, Kunafah cones (if I can get kunafah dough where I live), and Shahi tukray

Gift bags : Customized gift bags according to age and gender but wrapped with eid stationery

Decor : Should I do it ???

Invitations : Thinking of facebook or emailing invitations. I guess time is too short for mail in invitations

Dress : Should it be eid attire or should I mention to have kids in regular clothes so they can go out to play

Any other suggestions.

Also eid might be falling on a Sunday and it might not be doable to have this party on that day itself. Would it be ok to do it the next Sat ?? Muslims have 3 days of Eid, does it even seem right ?

How many hours is enough for this party 4 or 5 or less ?

Re: Kids eid party

I think if ppl can have Eid davats on weekends following Eid....party should be ok too?

Re: Kids eid party

since most of the kids spend Eid visiting with their families, we do an kid events on the following weekend.

Along with a playground - make sure you have games and maybe make it a carnival theme. We did carnival styles games and booths and kids had a blast.

cake walk, bean bag toss, basket ball, musical chairs, face painting, guess how many jelly beans in a jar etc.

kids are into fun and games more than food and decor so keep your emphasis on fun instead of food.

Keep it simple - pizza, popcorn, cotton candy, make your own ice cream sundae (Do kids even shahi tukray. :) )

Re: Kids eid party

include chips packets also, toddlers love them. i think casual clothes will be more comfortable for kids and parents both, if kids are slightly older thn you can play games n can give gifts to the winner.

Nj most ppl we are inviting don't have any family around. We only got each other. kids are between ages of 2 months and 4 years. Only 2 kids are there who are 10 and 12.
Should I still do games? If so what kind of games?
I think I am gonna start doing themed eid parties once he understands and can enjoy them more.

Da good idea on the crisps
