Re: Kids at weddings
Why don't desis like the idea of hiring babysiters, and going to an adult function and just enjoying themselves for an hour or two. It irks me to see mother all dolled up carrying kids who one minute pulling her earing, hair, dupatta, crying, fidgetting, and mother instead of eating themselves, feeding kids and changing nappies.
I believe in the idea of small intimate ceremonies for which I probably won't mind paying for babysitting for the kids I know and care. Forget about inviting hundreds of guests and paying for kids I don't even know.
