Kids and phones

DO you allow your toddlers to pick up your landlines? Play with your cell phone?

I used to earlier :bummer: but soon I realized that what sounds cute to you about your kid may be irritating for others…so now my kids are NOT allowed to pick up phones.

I do receive calls at weird hours from friends kids who accidentally dial my number and leave messages. A while ago, this kid called me and a long and juicy conversation between her mom and dad was recorded on my voicemail :nahi:.

Re: Kids and phones

hehehehhehehe that happened once, a very long time ago. :d:cb:

Re: Kids and phones

I don’t have a toddler but an infant and she loves cell phones. She is always after mine and tries to grab it from my hand. What she does is she takes it straight to her mouth :smack:

Re: Kids and phones

Oh, if they accidentally call 911, you are in such big trouble... that's what I'm always afraid of when friend's kids grab my phone. Weird, I know.

Re: Kids and phones

my son loves our mobiles,
he’ll wander around pretending to talk on them
his grandparents in pak always want to talk to him on the phone so we have to give him the phone most of the time he says he doesn’t want to speak but lately he has started speaking more..
i keep an eye on him when on the phone and only let him ‘talk’ to people on it who won’t mind or who ask to speak to him.

LOL my own son has accidentally called 999 from my mobile :cb:

Re: Kids and phones

my in laws are gulity of this and now are paying the price… cell phones dipped in milk, landline phones thrown outta te balcony etc etc

i never wanted him to play with teh remote control nor the phones.. but my in laws just couldnt say no.. so they would give him both… initially it would get sucked on… then came the throwing bout phase.. and now its wanting the phone whenever anyone calls.. he wants to be the first one to talk on it.. its annoying and irritating having him trail behidn u crying and wailing just cuz he wants the phone… and like niksik said..,the babble of a child is only cute to his parents, not the caller

im firm on this rule so he knows he wont get the phone from me.. but the in laws have to lock themselves in a room if they wanna talk on the phone… i bet *told u so * is going through their minds now :snooty:

Now since my daughter is 9 years old she can pick up phone when I am busy. But son is still not allowed to go near the phone.:D
