Kidnapping

So i came across the news that these afghani jihadi taliban fighters kidnapped some south korean aid workers and are threatning to kill them etc.. My question is..Does islam give permission to kidnapp innocent civilians during jihad that these so called muslims are pulling?

Re: Kidnapping

Of course Not.

Re: Kidnapping

Ofcourse not, but what these people are doing in Land of Afghanies? i mean, it is an open truth that Afghanistan has been invaded by Allies and locals ( u can call them taliban or what ever) are resisting against the invasion.

These Korean and Germans were not taken from their homelands ( right in the middle of war), they were there helping the Allies in their invasion in some way or other. in this scenario we call it Prisoners of War ( POW), trading POW is proven from Sunnah.

Re: Kidnapping

Good point.

Even then, I strongly object the way the question was put. There are hundreds and thousands of Non-Jihadi muslims who eat pork, drink alchohal and commit adultery. Does Islam allow that? I am not saying that Talibans represent true Islam, but niether do other people.

Why Islam is on trial all the time when someone with beard does something?

Re: Kidnapping

No, it's an erroneous, piece of crap point. These Korean hostages (mostly women) are in the country to provide aid to the people of Afghanistan. Then people want to claim this is sunnah while questioning why is Islam is on trial.

The reason the alcoholic pork-eating fornicators aren't being judged as representing Islam is because they are not on jihad while kidnapping and killing female aid workers.

Re: Kidnapping

Forget about the kidnaping, O you sarcsatic one. First lets figure out if Talibans really qualified as Mujahid.

Just let me know what is the defination of Jihad (I am specifically asking about the defination of "Qitaal" type of Jihad, not "Jihad against your inner evil" type).

And after you answer that, tell me if Talibans are technically not in Jehad if they are fighting against Non-muslims who invaded thier land.

Also enlighten me if Talibans killed more innocents or Bush's army killed more innocent civilians in Afghanistan. If female koreans get killed by Talibans, its a crime against humanity, if americans kill female afghanis and kids, its war against terrorism. right?

Re: Kidnapping

The taliban DESERVED to be invaded and overthrown, I don't care what religion they claim or Arabic definition of God-sanctioned war you want to call it. They harbored and colluted with those who attacked another nation. What did they (or you) expect? They are a bunch of murdering thugs wrapped in self righteous piety. If these cowards want to kidnap innocent women to try and affect their enemies' military actions, it just proves they are low life scum.

Re: Kidnapping

cuz when I eat a non zabeeha burger or chug a beer, I dont shout Allah hu akbar, or say I am doing it for god. That is why.

PS: just an example, I dont drink
Ps2: heavy drug use does not leave time for alcohol
Ps3: by drugs I mean allergy medication
Ps4: actually I do drink alcohol, in cough syrup
PS5: I dont drink cough syrup because it has alcohol in it but i drink cough syurup when i am sick.

Re: Kidnapping

Problem is shouting Allah hu Akbar? If they dont shout and kidnap people, it will be Ok with all the liberal minded brothers and sisters (just like americans are doing in Guantanmobe, they keep people hostages without saying Allah Hu Akbar)

Re: Kidnapping

Lijea'yay. Another arguement started.

Imam Haleem in 570 DD said in his famous book Al-Gosht-wal-Halal on page 921 that ...............

Oh I gave up.

Re: Kidnapping

what is wrong is still wrong, but when you talk about why people assocate their actiosn with islam, its because these people associate their own actions with islam.

tomorrow if you wear a gstring thong, and are drinking vodka and go out and kick every old lady you see and loudly proclaim that it is your job as a muslim to kick old ladies..you bet ppl will associate that with islam because you as a muslim are associating that with islam and giving reasons of why you are doing it and that it is some divine command.

Re: Kidnapping

I am glad that you brought that example of kicking up old ladies. Its my dream to ... Never mind

I am not a Taliban supporter, Fraudia. I want to know where they said when they kidnapped koreans that they are doing it in the name of Islam. They want NATO and US to release their people in exchange. Why at each actions of their, Islam comes on trial

I dont want the whole history of Taliban right now. Let us focus on this event and answer my above concern

When Pakistan govt. arrest and realease Indian fishermen in exchange of their fishermen, is that not OK. How is what Taliban doing any different than this.

Re: Kidnapping

NGOs, missionaries, are all methods used by the west.

These people couldn’t do anything in their own countries as most of their people turned athiest, now in Muslim countries taking advantage of the western occupation of afghanistan, Iraq, etc.

Re: Kidnapping

^ Ingrate. Through a higher calling and respect for God they are helping poor people and children who are much more disadvantaged than those in their own comfy homes. Maybe your brand of Islam doesn't allow for this type of selfless charity. What charitable or religious group that you support is helping the people of Afghanistan like this charity?

Re: Kidnapping

^^
Their real pupose is to convert people to Christianity and they do it through money. This is a crime under Islamic Sharia and deserves a strict punishment.

Re: Kidnapping

So, no answers as to who else is helping these poor Muslim children? No one from this group who likes to declare charity workers as criminals have any type of services for their suffering Muslim bretheren? What's wrong, are they too busy issuing fatwas against do-gooders to do any good themselves?
