Illusionist Derren Brown seemingly predicted the UK lottery numbers before they were drawn so just how did he do it?
Brown broadcast live from a secret location and, in a television first, Britain’s Channel 4 showed the event across its entire network.

there has to be a catch ![]()
Too good to be true …
Re: kidnap this guy, someone!
i was just going to open a thread on this, nice on Lafoo! ![]()
So, ok… apparently he predicted it… what would’ve been even better is if he actually said what the numbers were going to be prior to the lottery starting, then matched them up as the lottery numbers were being announced. But i guess that can’t happen… after all he is only an illusionist, not a psychic.
Many theories are also circulating on the net, as to how he did it… the most feasible being that half the screen was frozen (where the balls on the stand are) and an accomplice changed them as the numbers were announced… ![]()
Whatever he did, he’s going to tell us how he did it, tonight on Channel 4… ![]()
Re: kidnap this guy, someone!
cant wait to watch it tonight ![]()
Re: kidnap this guy, someone!
is it tonight … oh boy … ![]()
Re: kidnap this guy, someone!
yup! 9pm tonight i think :\
Re: kidnap this guy, someone!
wisdom of the crowd eh? I kind of got convinced ... shall we give it a shot ?
oh well thank u,
that explains how “farigh” I am now a days, lol
I dont believe that story
its a camera trick of some sort. All those ppl didnt know the number as he didnt reveale the average numbers to them, WHY? because he didnt know him self… lol
lets get 24 guppies and prove it wrong ![]()
Re: kidnap this guy, someone!
I say we do it …![]()
Let one of the guppies randomly decide 4 figure in their mind … and say 10 other guppies that bond well with each other , let their hands automatically write 4 numbers …
then we can find out how real was that darren freak … ![]()
Re: kidnap this guy, someone!
Many fans and critics have been left confused by illusionist Derren Brown’s explanation of how he appeared to predict Wednesday’s lottery results.
Some 4.6m viewers saw him claim to have asked 24 people to guess the six Lotto balls and use an average of the total for each ball to predict the draw.
But some mathematicians have dismissed his explanation as “complete nonsense”. During How To Win The Lottery he revealed that he had worked out the lottery numbers by asking a group of 24 people to guess them. Once he had their answers Brown said he added the numbers up for each ball and divided them by 24.
However, Roger Heath-Brown, Professor of Pure Mathematics at the University of Oxford, has dismissed Brown’s explanation. “Mathematically it is complete rubbish. It is a bluff on his part,” he said. And David Spielgelhalter, professor of public understanding of risk at the University of Cambridge added: "There is a difference between guessing between the weight of an ox and guessing lottery balls, which is un-guessable. “That is just a clear wind-up and complete nonsense. There is absolutely no way he did that.”
It was just camera tricks… why doesn’t he just admit it… i find him so irritating yet intriguing at the same time! ![]()
Re: kidnap this guy, someone!
lol. guys its a TV SHOW ![]()
nothing more than that.
and these stunts are only for ratings.
Re: kidnap this guy, someone!
Question:
Did he buy the ticket himself with same numbers?
Those who claim to be all knowing and Aalims, why don't they do something for themselves instead of pulling stunts like that?
As a side Info:
There was an Australian at one time who perhaps won the lottery of New York by buying all the possible number tickets. He spent I think few million dollars?? But won much more about 90 some millions. He made sure he bought ALL the possible six digit number tickets. He hired many people to buy those tickets. Those ticket orders were printed by a computer which printed all the possible combination.
Since then the Lotto Number methods are changed and they include a bonus number. Hence it is not possible now to buy all the number tickets with so little money or time.
One can search if interested. There was a TV show on him as well.

I was left well annoyed after watching it. I mean it was so obvious that he was LYING> ![]()
