My friend's brother used to say "Lalaa" instead of "Khalaa" when he was young, and up till today all the kids in my friend's family call their khalaa, "lalaa" lol hahaha

Re: Kiddy Lingo
One of my nieces was only 2 yrs old when she picked up all kind of gaali galoch from mohalla. Most of her utterances are rated R but this should give you an idea of the caliber.
Her mother was post partum in the hospital and I was given the task of driving her back to my sisters home since she was too young to stay. Like a good uncle I lied and told her that we are going for an icecream. When we reached close to the house, realising that I brought her home instead, the little worm goes in mixed Punjabi and urdu and I quote: "Oi, tu mujhay khala kay ghar lay aya hai!! Main tum ki na'sein pun doon gi"(I'll break your nose).
On other ocassions when guests were over, she would casually walk by and call them "pan today" which was often misunderstood and ignored. Hahaha.

Re: Kiddy Lingo
Lotion is Adaa that is cute :)
When I was young, I could never say Phupo or Phupa to my aunts and uncles. All I could get out was Pho instead of Phupo and Pha instead of Phupa. To this day, I call my aunts and uncles Phoo Aan, Phaa Aan. Talat Phupo became Taat phoo.
My youngest brother started speaking very late. The only words he knew were Bahoo and Bay. Bahoo for Abbu and Bay for me - Baji. So we nicknamed him Bay :) To this day, we call him Bay when we want to tease him. Not to mention he used to walk like a penguin haha!
cute topid Femme.
