ASSALAAM..HEY GUYS NORMALLY WHEN PPL DO HAQEEKA FOR THEIR CHILD,THEY USE I GOAT FOR GAL & 2 FOR BOY…BUT I HEAR SOME PPL WHEN DOING KURBANI WITH A BEEF…THEY TAKE A SHARE FROM THE BEEF FOR HAQEEKA FOR THEIR CHILD..SO WHEN DOING KHURBANI,THEY DO 2 NIYYATS..1 FOR KHURBANI AND 1 FOR HAQEEKA…IS THIS POSSIBLE OR SHUD HAQEEKA B DONE ONLY WITH GOAT?? UR VIEWS PLEASE…

People with punjabish accent some time say Khurbaani when they are refering to Khubaani (apricot)
Haqeeka should be called Aqeeqa
Khurbaani is simply Qurbani
From share in beef you meant share in a sacrificial animal ( cow , camel etc)
As far as i know Aqeeqa for girl is sacrifice of one goat , and for boy 2 goats. never heard anyone sacrificing cow for aqeeqa.
Both qurbani on eid and Aqeeqa after child birth are not compulsary obligations for everyone. one people with means and resources should do it.
Aqeeqa should be done with in a week (or on seventh day) of child birth , as per sunnah.

Qurbani on Eid id fardh on any adult muslim that has a certain amount of silver...meaning that they have some asset. In this day and age, most of us do. If for some reason, cash isn't available, another adult can do it on your behalf.

U can do 7 Qurbanies from one cow. I.e. 7 different names but never heard u can do Haqeeqa?
