‘Khuda Kay Liye’ wins best film award in Japan

FUKUOKA, Japan: Renowned Pakistani movie ‘Khuda Kay Liye’ won the Best Film Award for 2008 here Wednesday. Twenty-three films from Asia were screened in the world competition. Each film was shown three times to the audience who had to poll. There was only one award called the Fukuoka Audience Award for the best film of 2008. Renowned names like actor-director Majeed Majeedi from Iran and big movies like Om Shanti Om from India also took part in the competition. The award to ‘Khuda Kay Liye’ came as a potion for the dying Pakistani film industry.

Pakistan and Pakistanis have great potential ...only if the jaahil-urdu medium-mullah alliance is shut out and sane voices like Shaoib Mansoor's are allowed to be heard. Great going!

Whoever actually saw the film would never vote for it. Granted it was better than the normal lollywood dribble that comes out of that pothole...but best film...............bah!!!
