I don't know man, this is a really sad subject. These poor fellers are abandoned and ridiculed by everyone; even if they want/try they can't have a normal life and be a normal part of the society. Seriously, what was god thinking.

but from what i know...... there are only few who are techincally the middle gender.......most of them are feminized , biiologically perfectly normal men.............

They can't be a normal part of our society because our society does not accept them I wonder why??? hhmm just because they don't come under a particular category ( male & female )

There's a lot of debate on this (and I may offend some people, sorry in advance), but homosexuality isn't biological. If it was, the people of Lut wouldn't have been shunned. Homosexuality is a choice, being born with ambiguous genitalia is not a choice. Two different things. As NomiCA pointed out, a lot of the 'khusra' population is made up of homosexuals/cross-dressers. If someone is truly a hermaphrodite or is born with no definitive sex organs, we should extend our sympathy and humanity to them. I'm not saying homosexuals should have rocks thrown at them, they're humans too...but yeah, just clearing up that there's two different things.

They exist...even Quran says they do. However in west, they live as female even though they probably have a lot of male organs internally. This is done at birth and a lot of people are secretive about this. It is rumored that actress Jamie Lee curtis is hermaphrodite ( this is the scientific term). Also it is rumored that that south African runner is also a hermaphrodite. Why Allah created them is a mystery just while Allah created people with mental retardation, cerebral palsy...infant mortality.

Homosexuality/cross-dressing is not permitted in Islam. Hermaphrodites are Allah (swt) creation. The reason why most families choose to dump their child if they are born this way is because they feel some form of shame that they have conceived a child that is different. Not many years back people in India/Pakistan found it hard to cope with having a child with a disability.

I read somewhere that real Khawaja saraa don't go outside, they generally confined themselves in their house or place where they live because they feel ashamed of themselves because of our society or because their family has abandoned them. Khawa saraa'a on roads and signals are not real........ they are people who come into this field to earn money.

So any body can tell scientifically that what is Hijra. Do they have some other kind of private body parts or it is only mental homosexuality desire??

Google intersex to get a better idea. It is not a MENTAL condition but rather a physical condition. Typically they have both male and female reproductive organs. There are variations even among hermaphrodites.

Ali - your question has been answered in this thread. To clarify - every fetus first has female reproductive organs (regardless of genetics) later in their development while still in the mothers womb hormones determine if the organs will develop into male or stay female. At times the distinction doesn't take place and baby is born with organs that don't resemble either or.

Yes, I believe that is a possibility at times. Surgery as well as hormones.

If it is possible some NGOs in Pakistan should start doing this, so that they can live in a better way. I believe in Pakistan most of Hijras are not by birth. They are male and then these people damage there testicle or remove them by operation so they become hijras, but in that case they don't have two sex.

Now days every body is worried about the Acid on women faces, they should worry about the Hijas as well. I think this is also important issue and should be highlighted.
