Is there any mention of the ‘Kahtams’ in the Hadith/Quran? People give a lot of importance to these especially on the ‘fourth’ and ‘fortieth’ day of somebody’s death or on the death anniversary. Food is cooked, maulana comes and does dua with the food in front of him, family and relatives enjoy food and basically make the day into a social event. what does the hadith say?
