Is holding Khatams and gharvee Sharifs right; did ever Prophet or his companions did these things?
**** If you have any proof that they did please let me know. It should be from Bukhari or Muslim hadithes.

Yo*r q*estion is somewhat loaded. The prophet nor the *ompanions ever held a Katam however that in itself does not make it wrong.
On the other hand to insist Katam's m*st be held is also wrong and witho*t any religio*s j*stifi*ation.
