Kharra Pajama?

I heard of this for the very first time and couldn’t identify what the “kharra pajama” exactly is? can anyone of you tell me that how does it look?

its name sounds abit funny to me  I was like kharra pajama? kiya koi baitha hua pajama bhi hota hai?

Re: Kharra Pajama?

Khara Dupatta hota hai.

We have loads of pics in the wedding forum. It is mostly worn by Hyderabadi brides.

Re: Kharra Pajama?

No, khari shalwar does exist. I wear them.

Khari in Urdu means “stood”…so it’s like a shalwar which has no slouching. For that, the material has to be quite stiff. The poncha is also smaller and it has little/no chona in it.

Am i making sense? :bummer:

Re: Kharra Pajama?

Yes, you do make sense but I haven’t heard of it. :konfused:

Re: Kharra Pajama?

Opposite of churridar pajama. Khara pajama has churris.. chunnats whereas khara pajama doesn't have that.. its just straight tight pajama.

Re: Kharra Pajama?

I've heard of that, a khara pajama are trousers that are straight pants which aren't wide or too tight. If I can find a pic i'll post it here later.

Re: Kharra Pajama?

yes we also call it...GOODY KAAAAAAT SHALWAR

ahhaha hahahahahahahahahaa

Re: Kharra Pajama?

no i think thats diffrent

yaa lifey gudi kaat shalwar is different, khaRa pyjama is more like a simple pyjama cut in a similar way to a khaRRi shalwar, its usually the length of a normal shalwar, whereas churidaar is a little longer n wider n has more chunats in it like maroush said  heres a diagram,
