Khanah on the plane!

does anyone here feel excited about food offering on the flight? Is there any particular food you like on a particular airline ?

I once flew with PIA .. and on my way to Pakiland , I was offered yummy rice a mix of biryani and pulao really .. but they were awesome .. on the way back , we had similar rice , only with keera mokora’s cooked alongwith :yukh: ( you know the black bugs that look like zeera ) … So I dont think i will ever be flying with them again but the rice dish was brilliantly tasty on our way to Pakistan :yummy:

I love the custard pudding that Qatar airways offers sometimes … I pray and pray that they have that on the menu , every time I fly with them :omg:

Re: Khanah on the plane!

U mean…real keeray makoray? :eek::hayaa:

Re: Khanah on the plane!

yes Sara .. real ones  … I called over the air hostess and showed her them .. and she said it cant be the keera’s its zeera .. so to prove my point I picked out a keera that still had its feet intact and loaded its body on a white fork .. and then took it to the sunny spot on the plane and then showed her the keera :naraz: … then they apologized and said they would get me a new pack .. but, the damage had been done … so I refused flat.

Re: Khanah on the plane!

That’s disgusting. I hate PIA food anyway, they never give you a choice, you just have to eat whatever they serve. Emirates for me has the best inflight menu (for economy class).

Re: Khanah on the plane!

For most of my life, I did not like airplane food. It tasted bland and smelled like the airplane. I'd would usually eat just a few bites of the main dish...and sutain myself on the bread roll or the salad or the desssert. But last year...I enjoyed the food on Emirates....that was good!!! I remember there was like a boneless chicken curry...and it tated close to how it would at home....and not at all pheeka. There were other items that I liked as well...good menu and food.

Re: Khanah on the plane!

I dun like flight food etiehr .. but i would say that so far ETIHAD has decent menu ..

Re: Khanah on the plane!

I've always loved airline food, the only problem is that there usually isn't enough of it, and I'm not paindu enough to ask for a second helping as people do on PIA!

Re: Khanah on the plane!

i never used to like airfood but since i got married i go pakistan more often and now the foods the highlight, simply cos it helps pass the time! best flight meal i had was an omelette lol on gulf air, gulf also gave everyone a menu. Emirates also do a nice chocolate brownie for dessert.

Re: Khanah on the plane!

i loveeee emirates food.yummm.

the chicken curry and white rice is yummmm,

and I DID ask for another helping once, me and my brother and dad were going pak. dad sat in the middle, both my brother and me asked for another portion, without being embarrasssed, however my dad sank into his seat, with a i dont know these people look across his face....lol.

Re: Khanah on the plane!

Some years back, two summers in a row, i traveled the in First Class that took me to 5 continents. It was a life time experience. The food was served in fine china with silver cutlery. I did all that traveling using only 3 airlines namely Air Canada, Lufthansa and the United Airlines. I loved the food on Air Canada. Their food was the best. The desserts were amazing. I, obviously, didn't drink Champagne or eat Caviar, they probably thought i was a painDoo....hahaha

Re: Khanah on the plane!

when i last went to pakistan..we had to take a connecting flight from dubai to paki and they gave us boneless chicken with paratha and gulab jamun and cholay ki chaat... it was sooo good

Re: Khanah on the plane!

we have used PIA, air frace, BA, lufthansa, Emarites, air canada, contennential for international flights all of them SUCK when it comes to food..hate plane food.

Re: Khanah on the plane!

PIA first class (or what they used to call A-class?) and Buisness class do have very nice food. I travelled with both 8 years ago and had a lovely trip. You get a menu, and you can choose from the "food van" when the air hostess come. The only minus was they put so little on your plate in each spoon, and do it super slow. You are almost tempted to say "its enough" when its not haha ... But the food is good, there are a few options as well. Dessert was good. Overall service was good IMO. Breakfast was good too. Snack like fruit van was very nice too.

PIA economy class food SUCKS big time. My aunt used to talk abt it and how much she looks forward to it. WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT! .. BAD BAD. Breakfast was a stone-cold crossaint! NOT GOOD.
