Khan sahab hath hola

While I am not against IK’s campaign against rigging and am in favour of overhauling the electoral system so as to minimize the chance of rigging. I do not support his threat of dissolving KPK assembly due to multiple reasons.

  1. The country is undergoing a war and hence we are not in a position to suffer internal divisions

  2. The people are comparing KPK and Punjab. Any dissolution will just serve to convince the masses that PTI is all talk and have got nothing to deliver. Imran Khan will come forward as an immature politician who has always made the wrong decisions.

  3. This would be an undemocratic step. If PTI is unable to deliver they can ask the opposition to form the government in KPK while PTI is free to resign enmasse. I am sure a forward block will form in the party during this resignation process.

If PTI goes down this path it would be a win win situation for PMLN. They will get a reason to bash PTI till the next elections. Mind you this would mean the end of PTI as well.

Re: Khan sahab hath hola

I saw the interview in which Imran was quoted as saying that, and needless to say, Shahzeb Khanzada for fishing for this response, and Imran fell for it. Realistically, all PTI leaders have repeatedly said that this is not under consideration, and the only change they are looking for is from within the system/parliament.

I dont believe PTI will resign, as it doesnt make sense from any angle. If they do, it will be a self inflicted wound that may take a long time to heal. PTIs resignation will not bring about midterm-elections, as they cannot impact the structure of the govt. They will only result in by-elections. In KPK, a resignation may lead to governors rule, as the current situation doesnt allow for general, or by-elections on such a large scale. So for PTI, it will be a lose-lose situation.

Re: Khan sahab hath hola

I am bumping up the thread which I started two months ago. What I feared has happened. The march which began with the intention of toppling the government has culminated with the resignations of Pti. Mark my words Pti will not win the same number of seats in the next elections. Some how Imran khan has destroyed his party with his own hands. We could even see the fragmentation of Pti in coming months. Sad end to the party which could have provided people With an alternate.

Re: Khan sahab hath hola

This. Now thats an honest acknowledgment from a true PTI supporter rather than others who just want to throw everything out of the window anything and everything they dont like. We've to be sane to understand that our beloved leaders can also do mistakes and it takes a big heart to acknowledge, apologize and move on. Unless and until they think we are not that stupid anymore, we cant make them change.

Re: Khan sahab hath hola

Country simply can not handle NS and family corruption for another 5 years after Zardari corruption for last five. I am glad someone said enough. Greater corrupt Govt. have been toppled because one person said enough. All people do is complain and blame each other and pick same politicians and wonder why Pakistan is going backward?

Re: Khan sahab hath hola

i dont think PTI will finish as Imran is the binding force. He has a lot of charisma which will keep his followers together but yes PTI will definitely lose a lot of credibility among those voters who were either borderline PTI or who got interested into politics just because oif imran. Mind you this whole episode is not over yet but every new chapter that khan is writing is turning out to be a bit distasteful especially for mature PTI voters.

Re: Khan sahab hath hola

I being an ordinary guy advised Pti to not go through this undemocratic/suicidal path. If IK being a leader of a big political party couldn’t judge the aftermath of his policies I am certain this guy is not fit for ruling the country. Within one year he has brought his party to the point of destruction. Usually in democratic regimes the ruling party starts feeling the heat after 1-2 years, here the rulers are sitting comfortably and Pti is on the point of extinction. He used to make fun of Shahbaz Sharif’s u turn on loadshedding. During the past year his policies have been of continuous uturns, in fact mqm and Pti are competing in this field. Peaceful political party and attacks of TV station, democratic and asking for the umpire to intervene, family parties and bringing his wife to the fore, against ViP culture and himself travelling in helicopters/private jets. I really don’t know what Pti represents at the moment. In stead of performing in Kpk they have taken the role of a crying baby.

Re: Khan sahab hath hola

…after all this, pti is back to the basics…focus on kpk and as opposition. 2 years wasted.

Parliament Watch: Bruised PTI stirs for more ‘change’ - Pakistan - DAWN.COM

In a frank, off-the-record discussion, a senior PTI leader said everybody in the party was looking for a new beginning. One option, according to him, was that “we accept the commission’s report in totality, start our political movement afresh and focus on electoral reforms and govern the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa better and play the role of the opposition at the centre effectively.”

Re: Khan sahab hath hola

I had somewhat high hopes for imran because of his “maturity” like building shaukat khanum, but he has disappointed himself and others doing the politics that he did in the cricket team in the eighties.

He should surround himself with people like asad umar as his core advisers, but I see fat chance of that happening now. He is in advanced age and I don’t believe SMH and tareen or that dhancha CM can provide new age leadership to PTI after imran. This is why I don’t contribute to PTI when I have for shaukat khanum in the past.
