Sorry for this - but RB plz cut that crap. I have heard so much of this is a copy of this and that and so and so that I am SICK of it.
Nothing is too original these days, ideas are purely derived from Inspiration. That Trashwood flick 'Baghban' was rip off of a Pakistani movie, and countless other Bollywood productions are a rip off of Pakistani films. Do they rant about that on thier forums, in their media? NO!! Heck, they dont even care. Or take Hadiqa and her Boohey Barian which was ripped off in no less than 3 Bollywood films - but nobody ever bothered abt that there.
But this is a problem with us Pakistanis - always the first to put down our own stuff. We are really good but we never let that word get across in the media - hence evryone is just after Bollywood/Trashwood which has imitated many of our ideas.
I love Khamaj and Saqib Malik is a great director. He did a great job and I cant wait for his next video.
I guess cuz I've seen KKP and I really enjoyed the movie!! (Wonderful work by Guru dutt and Waheeda rehman) so all the time I was watching it and that stupid girl's exaggerated expressions, I was thinkin, aaaarrrghhh! Waheeda was wonderful in that role!!!! Shaan was alright!
Shaan is upset cuz she is getting so much attention from everyone and she is actually his protege and I think she also starts acting like a 'star' all of a sudden so she brushes him off. If I remember correctly, that's what kinda happened in the movie too.
but I love the song!! :) It was in the play Umrao Jaan! I wished they had used Amna Bano for the girl's role instead of sutpid Zara :(
Heck I dont care what Kaghaz kay whatever was or is...I dont know that Dutt guy and I am NOT interested in knowing either...all I know is that Khamaj is a BRILLIANT video by a BRILLIANT director.

chill out dude!!! why does everything have to turn into a Pak v. India war? I am sorry I don't like to argue and fight about this kinda stuff. India copies pak and pak copies India. It ain't a revelation so there is no need to get uptight about it. I was just pointing out the fact that it is a copy of an old classic movie. If you tend to get furious every time someone mentions the word India, then I'm sorry I did not mean to offend you.

uff fo guys!! I would have pointed it out if it would have been a copy of a pakistani movie or a british movie or an american movie!! Just because I said indian movie , you guys are getting furious! I mean really is there so much hatred between the two countries! just amazes me sometimes. I guess when I meet a desi person, the first thought that I have is not if they are Pak or Indian or Bangla, but then I've been brought up differently.
SaadiaB, in the video, the topi waala guy is some film producer or someone, who is possibly passing some lewd comment about Zara Sheikh - that she's all so hot and pretty or sumthin, who knows. Shaan is secretly in love with her, but he cant say it - he DOES take offence to what the topi wala guy sez and promptly shuts him up. Thats why he is angry. Hope that answers your question.

but its sooo sad it makes me cry whenever I watch it :-/ I usually change the channel when its on now...
confettiguy you're right Shaan loved her and she loved Shaan too. I thought Shaan was angry at her because, remember at the end when she is going to the premiere of the movie, she is with the guy who was the hero of the movie. I think Shaan got jealous of the guy and felt like maybe she wasn't giving him enough attention at this important event of her life, specially when he was the one who brought her to that stage.
But the sad thing is that they show she does feel a bit uncomfortable and she is looking behind to see where Shaan is but he doesn't see that.
Even before she was getting out of the car, you noticed she was trying to say sorry she brought her hand but he jerked his arm away, and she actually went into her house and was crying :-/
I think after that Shaan was angry at her and even more frustrated maybe at himself for being so angry and then in that whirlwind of emotions he got into the accident :-/

The girl in the video looks sooooooooooooooooo much like Disco Duck. It's only in this video though. Normally, she looks nothing like her. The way she's styled her hair, make-up ... the whole 40s look is VERY Disco Duck-ish.
