Sub-continent - a male dominated society, where ladies are made responsible for all the bad things.

This was something interesting I came across while reading Khushwant Singh’s memories about his village in Pakistani Punjab. They refer a well containing sweet water as Mithi Khoi (female) and a well containing brackish water as Khara Khooh (male).

I also heard that English people refer all their favorite things or the objects they consider important as ‘she/her’.

Whats your observation on the matter?

That’s interesting. I’ve always heard women are like nadi and men are like saagar/samundar. It makes me wonder nadi samundar main shaamil hoke apna wajood kho deti hai, samundar ko kya farq para?

ermmm…Thats not correct,

Khooh is bigger and Khui is smaller. Thats why the male / female.

Like, T’air (Dher) and T’eri (Dheri)

Manjaa, Manjee

Tibba, Tibbi

Khaala, Khaali

so on and so forth.
