Key to Success

The other day I was going through this article "What 13 Successful People Do Before Going To Bed" , I got inspired after reading so many secrets the successful people follow everyday.

Morning routines are important — but bedtime rituals can have a serious impact on your success. That’s because the very last thing you do before bed affects your mood and energy level the following day, since it often determines how well and how much you sleep.

Knowing that, we decided to find out how the most successful spend their nights before surrendering to sleep.
Turns out some — like President Obama and writer Michael Lewis — are night owls, preferring to work while the rest of the world sleeps; while others —like Arianna Huffington and Sheryl Sandberg — know how important sleep is, and force themselves to cool down

**
President Barack Obamais **a “night owl” and likes to work late.

**Inventor Benjamin Franklin **asked himself the same self-improvement question every night.

**Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg **turns off her phone at night.

Winston Churchill had an evening ritual that included a short nap, bath, and drinks well past midnight.

Stephen King’s nightly routine includes washing his hands and making sure all the pillows face a certain way.

Arianna Huffington only reads “real books” before bed.

Michael Lewis prefers to write between the hours of 7 p.m. and 4 a.m.

**Former Googler Keval Desai **works at night, so he can concentrate.

Kate White, former Cosmo editor-in-chief, likes to write while standing up in the kitchen.

**Bill Gates reads **for an hour before bed, no matter what time he gets home.

**Vera Wang **uses this “peaceful” time to look over materials her staffers send her.

**Buffer CEO Joel **Gascoigne walks every evening right before bed.

**Kenneth Chenault, **CEO of American Express, writes down three things he wants to accomplish the next day.

I have started following Kenneth Chenault , I write down three things every night to accomplish them next day. And if i fail to follow one thing that day, i make sure to accomplish it as soon as possible. This is helping me a lot and It hardly takes 5 minutes to write down the things.

Which would you follow from above list or you already doing?

Feel free to share key to your success!

Re: Key to Success

What a joke of an article. It's crazy how people get inspired so easily by meaningless stuff that the rich and famous do.

"Stephen King's nightly routine includes washing his hands and making sure all the pillows face a certain way"

Seriously?

Re: Key to Success

Bhai jaan aap garmi na khaen, aaaam khaen wo bhi bigher trees ginay.

You can certainly write your own article and give us some tips. Afterall we are here to learn from others' success :)

Re: Key to Success

One of the keys is a rich father-in-law. Just ask Phil Jackson.

Re: Key to Success

The Stephen King example: what did you learn from it?
People have been dumbed down so much that even the randomest information about a famous person brings them in awe.

Re: Key to Success

Thats a psychological thing wut he has said and thats fine for him. Nobody is forcing others to follow him as well and yes being a famous person wutever he does is worth knowing but again who is asking you to imitate them as well???
As per your post if you think people are really dumb, i'm assuming you arent one of those. So why not tell you what you follow, what's yr key to success??

Re: Key to Success

Are these things enough to guarantee success? Taking walks? Standing in the kitchen? I don't think so. And the definition of success will vary from one person to the next. I don 't believe I'm successful; very far from it. But I think that maybe if I practiced a few things from the sunnah with regularity and punctuality then over time I may be more successful, content, wiser. Such as the 5 prayers on time, and to sleep right after Isha as opposed to procrastinating so that I am well rested and can wake up for the tahajjud which is said to bring much barkat. To not be so lazy with making dua and reciting durood and Quran.
