I know KESC since I was a child. Before inception of MQM and connecting with national grid, the performance of this organization was no less than PECO, Philadelphia Electric Company USA. I saw rarely any outrage or load shedding in those days. KESC was an independent organization producing more than the required electricity augmented by KANUPP. The moment Karachi was connected with national grid, came the down fall. WAPDA and MQM both are responsible for the destriction of this once super organization. Karachi should be delinked with WAPDA or national grid, it should have at least four nuclear plants to power whole of the Karachi. KESC be revived and should be run by the public corporation. All politically employed badmaash should be sent to jail instead of homes because most of them are murderers.

LOL KESC has become better AFTER it was privatized. You are just angry because PPP lost a cash cow to stuff jiyalas in while not developing and educating anyone in interior sindh. Actually, karachi is treated as a cash cow that is sucked dry by the PPP good-for-nothing leaches.
PTI needs to improve and it is time that the curtain falls on PPP as well.

I don’t know about larger part, but I have been recently told that load shedding is mainly in areas where there is more theft.

There are areas where there is zero loadshedding, otherwise whole Karachi suffers from blackmailing of Karachi. sometimes in the name of circular debt, sometimes average billing system and sometimes issues like tripping and voltage issues.
