The Pakistani Rush Limbaugh…
The Pakistani Rush Limbaugh....
Most of Pakistani intellectuals are leftist marxist anti-Western culture and thus they are similar to Naom chomsky, or Robert Fisk, or Eric Margolis and other sundry lefties of America.
Rush is in a different class and he has no equivalent in Pak.
Those have a great pain in their arses on the US economic aid, should also condemn this aid as it will be used according to Uncle Sam’s desires. When military or dictator receive aid with whatever the conditions, no one has any objections, but it creats great pain when civilian government receive aid from Uncle Sam.

DAWN.COM | World | Pentagon ramps up direct military aid to Pakistan
WASHINGTON: The Pentagon is ramping up delivery of military equipment long sought by the Pakistani army to fight militants, US officials said on Friday.
Some $200 million worth of equipment and services already in the pipeline for Pakistan has started to arrive but officials declined to provide full details, saying many of the more sophisticated items were classified.
Some programs have run into resistance from Islamabad, which is wary of appearing too close to Washington, they said.

This is very valid point.
Pakistanis should not expect "miracles" with $7.5 billion aid.
Reality is that Pakistan needs around $35 billion a year. And $1.5 billion is just a small percentage of that need.
However such agreements aren't supposed to be measured by the dollars and cents in one package.
In reality such AID packages are a way into "people-to-people" and "business-to-business" relationships. Those non-governmental partnerships between Pak and American businesses would bring the real money that could over time be in the order of $100-150 billion a year.
However if we copy Egyptians, and grow long beards, and hide under tope and burqas then there will be no business-to-business cooperation.
on the other hand if we behave like Japanese, S. Koreans, and Chinese, and encourage open tourism and travel for the Western businessmen and ordinary people, then we will get the real benefit from the West.
So the choice is ours! Either we go with Long-beards+Hijabi tribal culture, or tourist-friendly industrialized civilized cultures of Japan, S.Korea, India, and china.
I agree with you on this,
I am not biggest fan of Egyptians as matter of fact if given chance, i may call it a crime to hire any egyptian for any job, but again, these kind of bills aid is normally a bribe to the corrupt politician of the country, they are unable to make use of it and all they focus on is to get more aid contract like these and to accomplish this, they create crisis after crisis in the country...
This is what happened in Eygpt, the Husni Mubarik Govt. took what ever they can from US, they used it to built their own foriegn bank accounts and they keep the major economic indicator as low as possible and keep the threat of Akhwan-ul-Muslimoon alive so that the US and other western countries will keep providing these rulers....
This is where things get worse, Pakistan have lots of corrupt politician, Asif Ali Zardari is leads the table of corrupt politicians, we will make sure that this kind of aid never stops...
What Pakistan needs acutally need following things from US
1) Latest weapon system and equipments for counter terrorism
2) Investors from US and western countries in invest in Private-Public projects in infrastructure sector
3) Need to get access to western markets with minimal taxes and duties so that the Pakistani product can reach the market..
I am sure there are others to follow, and i do agree if the Govt. shows the same commitment Japan, China and South Korea has shown, they can build a foundation to re-build the economy and infrastructure, but do we have right leaders in the house? i mean, these the leaders/chamchas with the worst corruption record ever... can we trust them???
