WASHINGTON — Pakistan’s foreign minister says he will return to his country satisfied that a multibillion-dollar U.S. aid package will not hurt Pakistan’s sovereignty.

Shah Mahmood Qureshi, speaking to reporters on Wednesday, made a rushed visit to Washington this week after anger erupted in Pakistan that the aid bill was an attempt to micromanage Pakistan’s military and civilian government.
