what a great idea! this is to commemorate the Pangea Day (May 10th)…andactually they seem to have picked some Bengali accent in some of the words! And it is a beautiful song ofcourse well suited to our great country!

or posting it on indian site gonna stop anyone from dying (well i don’t mind trying posting git on indian site out because you never know). and i also believe Us economy is hitting a recession due to intellectual maturity of some american(s).
ps. i am sure those kenyans didn’t volunteer to sing Indian National anthem (i think that is the one)!
quite honestly sir i respect your achievements and it is an honor that one of the UN representative is among us (because it a very competitive area) but please don’t devalue anyone else’s contributions. All of us are willing to make change but not all of us are as smart as you are (MashaALLAH). handful are present like you who can actually help, many sing songs, whereas plenty are like me who sit there and watch (and most they do is “Pray”).

Zobia my real life should never be a reason for ignoring rude comments. Whatever I do in real life is to be ignored and my comments should be taken on their value. The comments were rude. But they were to make a point. Its great that someone sang an India song. But to be very frank nobody here cares. We care about Pakistani politics or World politics that affect muslims.
If this news item had been placed in General or the music forum, I wouldn’t have cared less. This news item is not “world affairs” orientated. It belongs in general or some forum dedicated to music. There it would be something to discuss. Right now it has no value when linked with world affairs.

if "pangea day" is the issue Stircrasy the thread topic needs to be formed as to talk about pangea day. as it stands this thread is about some kenyans singing the indian anthem, and some indian posters happy about it along with some non-indians unhappy/indifferent about it. whereas that is always a stimulating sight to behold, it is not a world affairs question.
if you wish to talk about pangea day perhaps you could explain its motives, achievements etc.

you forgot to add that in spite of all this there are emerging economies, that many countries are doing well, that India is growing its economy in spite of all the problems and insuffcient resources and unfriendly neighbor.
And in the middle all the tumult somebody is creating a concept of friendship among nations through Pangea Day and singing one other's anthem.

an affair doesn't have to be an issue.
India and Kenya are two countries in the world. And the way the Kenyan's sang out great national anthem is quite cute. Sharing that good feeling builds amity and a sense of friendship amongst people. A good affair happening in the world, hence in world affair.
Yes, it does seem to rub India haters on the wrong side! Don't worry - being Pangea day, it is not limited to India.
