These are some of the designs up in Kehkashaan Center right now. They have high quality stuff - they will charge in the range of 5000-7000, but its worth it and for a designer to make the same stuff for you, you would pay waaayyyyy more.

awww, sorry.... everyone has different taste you know... mine is a bit towards the boring side :p. First one is decent :)
But you know they do have better stuff..... try to get family to send you more pics.

I like 1, 4, 5 the best, but I think I'm going to go with getting 1 done on the bright cyan blue raw silk that I have sitting over there.
If you guys have pics of good kaam that you saw in karachi, please do post. And with the store number and location too, that would help.
I like the first and the last one...do you how much would the last one cost? and how much are you paying for the finsihed outfit?

are those tiny diagonal beads on the first one? they arent even straight, and look quite tacky. like someone just used whatever they could find to fill up space with the cheapest dhingchak stuff.

i was referring to the kaam in the pictures. i doubt that is the best available, both in finishing and quality of kaam materials, probably far from it.
not just in karachi but in most cities. certainly i perosnally bypass this type of kaam in lahore.

I haven't seen much better in Karachi, and this comes pretty close to the stuff you posted. I've had kaam done in Kehkashaan before and its very delicately done and has good finishing. It doesn't go bad with time either. I've had stuff sitting there for some 5-6 years now, and it looks good as new.
They are asking about 5000-7000, but I'm going to see if they'll lower prices if I ask them to tone down the amount of work. I don't need more than a little kaam here and there done on my suits.

And I've scoured the stuff on GS. I think this stuff looks way better than most of the stuff that's been posted minus the true designer-wear. Which I don't have 500-800 dollars to spend on one nomi ansari outfit.
i dunno if its the lousy picture quality fo the first picture, but the kaam on the second one definitely looks much better than the 1st one.
There is a definite difference in the kaam there.
I guess it boils down to what someone finds to be worth their money.

U know what. I'm getting some clothes made soon and I will be more than happy to post pictures of those and compare it to the "cheap" outfits I've gotten in the past.

stoppits karrigars kaam is amazing!!!! i just love the clean intricateness of it. I should post a picture of one of the outfits I got made from him. Seriously, one of the finest done kaam i've seen yet
