Re: Keeping track of the cash at the till !

-a video camera on the roof pointing exactly at the till
-video tape record all activity
-make sure the employee can NOT open the till without a sale [you keep the key]
-tell the employee that they are videotaped
-tell them to deposit ALL the cash except the peggy-bank amount $50] in the safe
-set the safe at 30 minute default opening
-make surprise visits and count the cash in the till.

I like those ideas , KKF and definitely workable .

See, this friend of mine has an established beauty business at home. When customers come in they ask for various services , when they make the payment , the girls can get away with not telling the entire list of services the client asked for and hence they get away with the money .. how do you stop this?

you cant always ask the customer to report to the owner on what beauty services they selected.

cb....

In pakistan this really good parlor I went to had printed out cards with list of services. Clients are to tick what theywant and sign with paid amount at bottom. They are called client cards. No payment made without the card filled outand signed by client Clients are told that or there's a sign about it at counter in easy view

Re: Keeping track of the cash at the till !

Now a days they have software and displays which shows the customer as to what they are ordering and what is being entered in the system. If they add items while they are being helped then the overhead close circuit camera would be a big deterrent.
