we handed out sandalwood fans similar to the third picture at our wedding. they were from chinatown and not too pricey, and we customised them with tags that said "stay cool!" actually haha and ribbon in our colours. they were a huge hit considering it was an outdoor ceremony on an august evening :)
love the idea of handing out flip flops at a beach wedding, and conversely, for those cooler summer nights (for eg: in june or september), i've also seen baskets of lovely colored pashmina's for guests to wrap themselves up in.
i also like the idea of those beautiful, clear glass water coolers filled with ice water and slices of lemon or lime for guests to help themselves too. or what about hiring a little ice-cream cart for something more vintage?
I love the idea for sandalwood fans, the look pretty and you can use them later on as well! I might get some for my mehndi...we were also thinking of doing the flavored ice in yellow and green!
BTW I have also seen people give out flipflops for indoor weddings that will have dancing late into the night. Getting out of those heels is probably heaven!
Those fans look amazing as wedding favours, especially in Pakistan...but looking online they seem to be quite expensive if you had a lot of guests.
Check your local Chinatown or dollar store even. Lots of places online will sell them in bulk. We paid 45 cents each for ours, if I remember correctly.
Thanks! We’re planning a shamiana in my aunts backyard. Still looking for someone to set up the stall and stuff, id love if I could have a filmy decor around it with old-school movie posters and have flower bracelets in lil wicker baskets for ppl to wear or even pin on their hair!!! Love the fresh flowers that are sooo easily available back home.

Thanks for the advise. Am thinking the Chinatown in London will be expensive though.

Oriental Trading Company (online) is often a really good place to get stuff.
