I know this has been discussed various times and did browse through some old threads regarding chafing dishes. problem in Australia is that we dont get ALuminium chafing dishes and as party is at my home i dont want at all to wash dishes specially when i dont have even dish washer. I was thinking to serve food somehow like this in pics attached but can you please advise if the tea light candle would work to keep food warm?
Any other suggestion someone can give. This wire rack is basically found with an aluminium platter to hold it from edges and I have place it upside down. Please give your inputs
Thanks
You can use any candle key is to use double dishes with bottom one filled with warm water and top one (a little less deep than bottom one) filled with food. Direct flame ends up burning food.
Im so disappointed that no one is to help or put any suggestions in even after 97 views. Kindly give me suggestions, i have put this post to get you all suggesting me
I don’t know how steady your method is going to be with the upside down wire rack, will it keep the trays from slipping because it essentially has no support the way you have it set up. Things could get dangerous and messy with hot water, candle etc. The water method would work as Decent 6Chora mentioned. You’ll need about 1 inch water in the bottom tray.
Or you could keep the oven on and keep the food warm that way, and put it out when guests arrive.
