hmm, I dont know how old the story is but the way defcom 401 (k) and 457 plans are setup, you cant just electornically transfer your balance from one account into the other. There's a lot of paperwork involved, early withdrawlsand retirement have some fees and taxes etc and other formalties have to be administered.

Gohan, well it appears that it was easy for the thief in this case, there was ealy withdrawl penalties and all, as if he cared.
I think that there need to be more security for transactions as such, as a matte of fact I am going to talk to my 401K trustee that while I want to be able to change investment elections and all online, I do not want to do any major moves like that online, and see if that can be blocked.

hey starting early is the key, you are young, start putting some money into it, reduce yer taxes, get benefits of compounding..
