When I make kebabs, i cant get them to stick around these…is this because the skewers are too thin? do i need thicker skewers?
OR
is it because the meat does not stick together well…usually i make chapli kebab and they never break..but when i try making kebabs on skewers using same meat they just break..they dont even stick on the skewers..
your mixture might be a bit runny… Make sure you drain the keeema really really well and when you make the kabab, press it really hard first so that it doesnt break easily when its on the skewer … I have these skewers too and I have to take two at a time coz they are really thin … so that might be an issue too ..
Use the 21st century gadgets known as kebob baskets, non stick , no issues with kababs sticking or getting perfectly round kabasbs off the skewers. No mess , no falling kababs, no problem with turning them around on all four sides. Here is the picture. I got mine from Ross, Bed Bath and Beyond , and Garden Ridge has them .
I hope someone starts making them in Pakistan making seikh kababs will be so easy.
