You guys ever make wraps and fried/grilled chicken at home?
I normally make grilled tandoori chicken but last week I tried frying chicken in batter, put some paprika/chill powder in the batter powder. Coated an fried, turned out pretty good.
Been eating mostly wraps lately, sheekh kebab, mayo, chill chutney, salad, onions, maybe some tomatoes sometimes. Tastes pretty nice.
I don’t fry anymore, so I either make tandoori chicken wraps, or shish tawook wrapped in lavash, or stuffed in a pita pocket.
My go to Medditteranean inspired marinade is:
Greek Yogurt
Garlic Cloves
EVOO
Fresh Oregano
Salt
Fresh cracked black pepper
lemon juice
half a green chili
Whirl all that up in blender and then marinate either boneless chicken breast cubes or boneless chicken thigh pieces. I then either skewer it with chunks of onion, bell pepper and cherry tomatoes, or use and indoor grill pan to cook…then wrap it all in lavash or put in a pita pocket with homemade tzatziki…
