**Kashmiri students forced to shout anti-Pakistan slogans **
NEW DELHI – At least three Kashmiri students of a private university in India were beaten up and forced to shout ‘anti-Pakistan’ slogans by fellow students, Hindustan Times newspaper reported.
The incident occurred at an apartment block in Sector Pi that serves as a common hostel for BTech students of various universities in Noida. Six students, all attending private colleges, barged into the room of Kashmiri students, beat them and forced them to shout slogans against Pakistan.
The paper reported that around 100 Kashmiri students residing there agitated outside the society with bags packed. “We don’t feel safe here. Those boys were completely drunk when they entered our room. We called the police but they did not get here on time,” Hindustan Times quoted a Kashmir student as saying.
“By the time we were informed of the incident, the students had been shifted to another hostel. We have informed the university officials about the incident and they have decided to form an enquiry committee,” said Anurag Singh, the deputy superintendent of police in Noida.
“Around 100 Kashmiri students of our university have been shifted to a new hostel. We are taking all measures for their safety. We have also set up an enquiry committee,” said Utkarsh Chandra, vice-president of the Noida International University.
In March, a university in UP had packed off 67 students from Kashmir to their homes for celebrating Pakistan’s victory over India in a cricket match. Days later, on March 8, six students of Sharda University in Greater Noida were expelled from hostel for involvement in a brawl after an India-Pakistan cricket match.

Must be a difficult situation for Kashmiri students to pick their party. While they are Indian cititizens, still it may not be easy for at least some of them to chant anti-Pakistan slogans for obvious reasons. A reall Catch-22.
Re: Kashmiri students forced to shout anti-Pakistan slogans
I'm surprised how big of a role Pakistan plays in Indian Elections. There seems to be systematic obsession with Pakistan across the border, while the issue of India was totally irrelevant, and largely missing from Pakistani elections. The fake anti Pakistan bravado is quite comical and cringe worthy at the end of the day.
Feel sorry for the Kashmiris in India. Seems like they're favourite punching bag for all the Hindu extremists parties. But all these nasty little acts are doing quite a good job at highlighting the issue of Kashmir and the plight of Kashmiris.

Really now? How closely are you following Indian elections? From the news I read, Pakistan is not in the top 5 topics for this election.

Good for India. India badly needs to 'Modi-fy' its menu for domestic consumption. It does not mean that Pakistan already stands perfected. By if media is anything to go by, then Pakistani press and airwaves are considerably less hostile than their counterparts on the other side of the border. Talking about elections, India was not even at No.5 in Pakistani elections. I hope better sense prevails on both sides of the divide.

Think Indian media is more hostile only if you consider terrorism same as pakistan.
