Once again Kashmiri leaders from Indian-occupied Kashmir are calling on President Musharraf and Pakistan to bid their case, and repose their trust in our efforts on their behalf.
**APHC team to arrive Pakistan next Week **
A three-member delegation of the All-Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC), led by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, will arrive in Lahore in the first week of January to visit the quake-affected areas of Azad Kashmir and the NWFP, APHC representative in Islamabad Faiz Naqshbandi said on Wednesday. Pakistani officials have also confirmed the visit. However they are not certain about the exact dates of the visit. The APHC representative said the delegation included Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, Abdul Ghani Bhat and Bilal Ghani Lone. Sources said the delegates would meet Pakistani leaders, including the president and the prime minister.
The delegates will arrive on a routine flight from New Delhi, as the Indian government had turned down the APHC leaders’ request to cross the Line of Control [LoC]. Last year in June, the APHC delegates crossed the LoC to visit Azad Kashmir and Pakistan. During their visit, the APHC leaders held meetings with Pakistani and Kashmiri leaders. APHC officials in Islamabad said they were in the process of finalising the itinerary of the visit.
