Ingredients
4 cups water
2 tsp. green tea
¼ tsp. soda bicarbonate
¼ tsp. salt
1 cup milk
2 tsp sugar
¼ tsp. ilaichi powder
½ tsp chopped pistachio
Instructions
Boil 2 cups water with green tea
add two more cups of water
Add soda bicarbonate and salt. Sugar and Milk as per taste.

Ingredients: Bicarbonate Soda 1/2 tsp Whole milk (or half 'n' half) 1 pint Water 9 cups Salt to taste Fresh cream (malai) 6 TBS Grinded Pistachios 2 TBS Green Cardamom 15 - 20 seeds & Ground Cardamom 1/2 tsp Semi-fermented tea leaves (eg. Oolong) 2 TBS *optional ingredients include: Poppy seeds 1 tsp, Peppercorns 2, fresh slice Ginger and Cinnamon bark 2 pieces.
Boil this in large pan...add tea leaves to the water with the salt, Green Cardamom and Bicarbonate Soda...next, reduce the heat and simmer anywhere from 20 - 45 minutes or until it reduces its' size to about 1/3 of the original quantity...whilst it is boiling u may add the optional ingredients and about 2- 3 cups of cold water or how much is needed to make enough tea for 4 cups...simmer for about 5 more minutes then take off the heat, strain and let it stand...then boil the milk with Ground Cardamom on low heat...then pour the prepared tea into the milk and bring to boil, add some salt then just simmer for about 4 minutes on low heat...after removing, pour into cups and now u can add the cream (malai) and pistachio powder over them.
pheww! It's long and a little complicated but supposed to be really good :)
my mom usually makes it with the tea leaves, cardamom, salt, milk and soda and in the end we add butter to it and the traditional way to eat it is with the really hard bread....
but this is cool im gonna give cream and all the other ingredients a try.

An aunty came and made the kashmiri cahi at our house
she took ages n used sabz qehwa n kept addin cold water evry 5 mins to make the colour go pink(i think)![]()

u can get kashmiri chai from any peshawari shop u knw i mean any pthan shop
and y it gives pink colour because mixture os cold water in boiling of green tea
u can try
put two cup water with onw tea spoon of grean tea on heat for boil when it left one cup add one cup very cold wter and mix for 3/4 minutes then add milk it will be pink u can add ground pistachio and almond in tea for great taste.
