Re: Kashmir Solidarity Day - A Speech Contest
Sixty years is a very long time... yet here I stand again, amazed and awed by your resilience my Kashmiri brothers and sisters. This isn’t about me or someone sitting in India, this is only about you, yet you have become a significant part of me. Growing up hearing the tales of torture and savagery inflicted upon you every day, my aching heart half wished you would give up… but you have made me stronger.
Your unbreakable will, year after year, has taught me why freedom is worth fighting for. After every brutal blow you stand erect and strong to teach me what dignity is.
I live to see the free land that was once known as ‘small Persia’. I live to meet those people from a race once famous for its skill and intelligence. I live to see that day when you will stand as victors InshAllah.
Kashmir Zindabad!
