so, what would have happened had we conquered kashmir back in 62? would we be more educated? would our people had more access to clean water/adeqaute medical facilities? would there be no more honor killings?

nuvi, aqal sey kaam ley yar... we would have saved so much on the military budget and put it to better use, and we would have solved some of the problems u mentioned.

I'm not aganist having a military deterrent, god knows we need it to keep those indians at bay but it seems like we think that conquering kashmir would the end of all of our problems. That can't be farther from the truth.

listen Sporky, what would pakistan get by “conquering” kashmir? now or back in 62? just get over it. We can’t even properly provide for people who already are in pakistan. Aur chalay hain kashmir ko conquer karnay..

We have provided more than enough to the Kashmiris living in Azad Kashmir, and they seem rather happy living with us, and had we taken over IoK, it would have been good, we could have had a more peaceful relationship with India, perhaps invaded a little more turf (ok, just kidding on that one). I hope youre not an Indian in disguise though.

This is a very personal issue for all the Pakistanis. Not many people realize that in 1947, during parition plan was to award entire Punjab and entire Bengal to Pakistan. Britishers wanted to give entire Punjab and Bengal and move the Hindu/Sikh population resident in these states to somewhere in India(India is large). It never happened :( I guess Congress Hindu leaders used Quaid's illness to their advantage and Quaid had to accepted 'the moth eaten and truncated Pakistan' as he put it. Similarly, Hyderabad province was suppose to become South Pakistan (The area which is Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu).. We got only 40% of what we deserved.. Pakistan should've invaded India in 1962 but it treaded a cautious, wait-n-watch approach.. Most of the Kashmiris want to be with Pakistan given the religious similarity.. If India wants peace with Pakistan, it can give J&K valley to Pakistan and have non-muslims of the valley settle in Himachal or Haryana- my 2 cents.

Good to meet someone who was privy to what was inside the Brit’s mind. What makes u feel that non muslims are not allowed to stay in J&K whether its part of India or Pak.Some of ur posts make me feel u dont really like peace with anyone outside of muslims.

Let me give you some historical background. What was the need for creation of Pakistan...for muslim community because unlike Brits who had their country intact these people had no home to go back because bridges were already burnt. Hence the stupid partition.
