Kashmir, Bangladesh, Balochistan etc etc

Kashmir wants independence from India, Pakistan supports Kashmir but when Bangladesh wanted independence Pakistan rejected it but India supported Bangladesh. India allegedly supports Balochistan but Pakistan doesnt want to grant any autonomy for it. Aren’t these all contradictions by these governments, they all support their neighbours minorities but supposedely suppress their own communities, what do you think?

Re: Kashmir, Bangladesh, Balochistan etc etc

Well, for one, Kashmir is a disputed issue under UN resolutions.

Re: Kashmir, Bangladesh, Balochistan etc etc

Lets not forget Sikkim, Assam, the Naxalite movement and a few others. There is a huge difference between Kashmir and Baluchistan and Bangladesh.

Re: Kashmir, Bangladesh, Balochistan etc etc

When it comes down to it what are the differences. A group of people want autonomy but their nation doesn't want to honour their democratic right for it. What they are doing though is supporting the break up of their neighbours country so it weakens their "enemy".........`

............My nation right or wrong isn't a a good policy we should be able to criticise our own governments if need be that does not make up unpatriotic.

Re: Kashmir, Bangladesh, Balochistan etc etc

I think you pretty much nailed it....

Re: Kashmir, Bangladesh, Balochistan etc etc

I thought this page would be inundated with replies with a topic like this but surprisingly it hasn't.

With respect all that means is that two nations dispute a territory. It doesn't touch upon on the contradictions I highlighted in my posts.
