oh and someone told me a tip or the tv cehf Rahat.. she says it makes it super quick and eay

Basically you make the masala first and then instead of adding Besan to yogurt, add Besan directly to the masala and bhonofy it until the smell of besan is gone.. then add lassi and let cook.

It reduces cooking time cos otherwise it takes forever for the besan smell to go away.

Oh my goodness MM, thanks soooo much for directing me to that page. I had started with another recipe I had found on the net before you posted that one, and it required tooooo much water. I ended up throwing out the mixture of water and besan I had started with.

Started all over after reading one u posted the link to, and let me tell you it turned out AWESOME! And that's my first time making it. :D

btw did you bhonofy the besan Sajju? I want to know if it works the way I was told it does.. want to try it sometime.

MM, here is what I did. I combined the two recipes.

1 cup yogurt
2/3 cup besan

Mixed the two in a blender (GTG's tip)

6 cups water

Added the water and yogurt/besan mixture in the pot
Added spices- red peper, salt, zeera, haldi, whole black peppers, curry leaves etc

Added ginger, garlic, onion

Cooked that on medium heat while stirring occasionally

Made pakoras

Now the Kurrhi was done and according to the first recipe I had to strain it in order to get all the stuff out i,e onions, garlic etc

Added pakoras

Added tarrka

And that's it. No smell of besan at all.

My mom makes the best curry! :p

I love pakoroN wali karhi.. I can eat it everyday.. I can even cook it.. I have shared the recipe quite a few times :p
