karma

i found the followin’ definiton for it:

**the Hindu and Buddhist philosophy according to which the quality of people’s current and future lives is determined by their behavior in this and in previous lives **

it made me wonder wat if we were 2 leave out the under lined part of the phrase wouldn’t we muslims believe in it 2!!! OR NOT???

The Law of Karma in Hinduism is more extensive than what was stated above, so no, muslims do not follow the Law of Karma.

We believe in something similar in philosophy, which is that our deeds will be weighed and we will be judged only once, accordingly.

i never said we muslims followed it i asked whether we would if the bit underlined was left out.

the bit in ** BOLD ** is the muslim belief i’m aware of that :k:

let uz chat, I know you know that we muslims dont follow it. smile

My point was that, even if you left out the part underlined, we would not follow that which Hindu's or Buddhists call the "Law of Karma" because there are several aspects to it not mentioned....and the sentence said "the hindu and buddhist philosophy". i.e. their philosophy on it has several aspects to it, so no, if the part underlined was taken out, it would still not be the same exact "concept".

how islam explains suffering of muslims is it punishment from allah?
does allah treat equally muslims and non-muslims for sins?

If you negate the law of karma then you cannot explain anything in this world!

If muslims believe they are judged only once, that too after death, then how do you explain babies starving in Somalia? Why is someone beautiful and another ugly as sin? Shouldn't everyone be born in equal circumstances since judgement is only for old souls and new souls are dropped on earth? Why the partiality?

Physics explains that for every action there is an immediate and opposite reaction. Karma says that for every action and thought there is an immediate and opposite reaction which may not manifest itself immediately. Basically it means that no matter who you are or which religion you follow, watch what you do, say and think, for you will reap what you sow.

Karina, you want to say that hinduism is a correct version of religion than islam?

Of course not. karma is not even 'religion'.

but your question ic very relevant, Karina. at least we can understand that a child suferer is paying fir sins from last lifes, but in christianity or islam cannot explain it. may be the suferer child is victim of the sins of his parents?

wot happens to animals when they die?? do they have their heavens and hells??? or do they also come down in diff animal forms?? lion becomes a lamb, and experiences the pain of being in food chain??
tch tch!!
life after death is human imagination!! and so is the concept of rebirth and repayment of pass sins.

Man dies when his hard disk [brain] stops functioning. Thats the final fullstop!

Karma is a philosophy, but I do not buy the reasoning that the circumstances one is born in is a direct result of their past life. Assuming that that is correct for an instance. So ugly people are ugly becasue they are "bad" or "evil" and the starving child in somalia deserved it?

And as for reaping what you sow, I think I have to see more of the world to confirm. So far as I have seen, liars cheaters bitches suck-upss get ahead. Karma is a pretty idea for those left behind. Maybe.
