maybe a bit offtopic but I have always found Sobia Nazirs outfits too overpriced.
Re: Karma or Rani Emaan
WEll, i have been sending mails to Deeba for awhile now. Really appreciate her quick replies! But seems like she wont allow any bargaining.. not even a bit. She says she can mke ur dress to ur budget, but she is always talking about reducing kaam on lehnga/dupatta :( I dont want my bridaldress to look like a formal...soo...mmm..dont know...
I dont think I can afford custom from Rani. I might just have to change some colours around instead of making it from scratch.
Why a custom made dress cost you more than a design she already has? Won't a dress be custom made if you alter the colours, kaam, etc.?
The only thing is, a person should get something unique for themselves if they are going to a designer otherwise what's the fun in it?

Re: Karma or Rani Emaan
hmmm...is karmas new collection which was presented on the pfdc ??
Re: Karma or Rani Emaan
is karmas price range same as rani emaans ??
Rani Emaan all the way but I am biased. :halo:
Don’t go for Karma unless you want to end up wearing the same dress as 50 other brides. Also, if you are going to Lahore, why limit yourself to Karma? Karma has lost its luster. Look at others like Mehdi, Fahd Hussayn, Nilofer Shahid…they have some gorgeous bridals!
Re: Karma or Rani Emaan
augustsunshine.. how much did u pay for ur bridal dress?? if u dont mind telling...

oh yes augustsunshine...it wuld be nice if u culd share ur experience wid rani rani emaan...

Re: Karma or Rani Emaan
august, your dress is rani emaan? nice one! which one is it, if you don't mind my asking?
Re: Karma or Rani Emaan
^Would love to know that, too.
Re: Karma or Rani Emaan
Me three!
Re: Karma or Rani Emaan
I only wanted a traditional gharara for my wedding and when I saw the jewel toned fuschia gharara by Rani Emaan, it was love at first sight! You hardly see traditional ghararas these days and I am all about ghararas since I think they are the epitome of classiness.
I absolutely love this gharara's vintage, classy look and it looks even better in person!! Their kaam and detailing is amazing!! Very intricate and neat. The gharara actually has light gold, silver and champagne kaam on it.
Plus I was able to go see Deeba and try on the dress in person. I had no intention of going to Pakistan given the precarious situation there. I don't care how good a designer is, I cannot buy a dress without seeing it in person first. I got lucky that I was able to pay Deeba a visit and order the dress in person.
Plus Deeba is a pleasure to work with. Oh and yeah they don't budge on their prices but I think most designers don't. All in all it was a great experience dealing with them.
Re: Karma or Rani Emaan
Oh that's great news! If you don't mind, can you point out which one you bought? And it's for the baraat?
Re: Karma or Rani Emaan
if i'm in karachi, can i see any of rani emaans work? i dont want to place an order without physically seeing the work first! her work is very unique and traditional, i love!
Re: Karma or Rani Emaan
@ augustsunshine: thats seems so nice..so u ordered than in the states ?? can i ask how many days/weeks it took to complete d dress ??
n wuld u mind if i ask for the price..
Re: Karma or Rani Emaan
Surely, Rani Emaan
I met Deeba in New York....she has most of the collection there. Deeba is in Lahore these days and they are releasing their new collection soon. Rani Emaan is also opening a boutique in Georgetown soon.
I was initially thinking of changing the colours of the gharara and going with red and champagne but when I saw the rich colours, I changed my mind and decided to stick to the original. Deeba was very open to changing the colours, customizing the outfit, adding sleeves.....again, their kaam is exquisite, it's very intricate and their outfits look a lot better in person because the kaam is more apparent and glittery. Almost all their outfits are done on silk chiffon so their fall is great.
Their bridals range from 2-3.5 lacs and they aren't great about haggling. But you can reduce the kaam and they will lower the price.
I ordered the bridal the second week of Jan and received it the last week of March.
p.s: it won't let me upload the image....but it's in this thread.. it's the gharara with the tea pink shirt.
