Does karma have a store in karachi? What about in islamabad?i tried finding this info on their website and had no luck.
2nd, is there a particular mall with better designers to go do some window shopping?
well a really good mall in Karachi is Park Towers...one hell of a classy place. Then theres one on Tariq Road aswell...but I can't seem to remember the name...I think it's called Dolmen Mall....

as far as i know karma is based out of lahore and there was no shop the last time i was in khi....park towers is ok the only good store there is maria b. and nadya mistry is alright. u might also want to check out the shops on zamzama ...there are a few good shops there.

Ok, i've been to park towers too, i wasn't impresed by iether maria b or nadya mistry's store collection either. I know we've been to zam zama too but can't rmeember which one it was. :)

amelie, i am not too much into the designer scene but havent heard of karma...i dont think they have a store in park towers? try looking in park towers or zamzama, also for window shopping...these two places have nice boutiques..if u wana buy fabric and get it stitched, try gulf in clifton or aashyaana in clifton..but be sure to BARGAIN or u'll get ripped off! specially aashyaana ppl tell double prices so do bargain
p.s. btw i know, i dont know what all the hype is all abt, but nadya mistry and maria b suck big time! totally yucky stuff
Karma have a really innovative collection its such a pity they don’t have a shop in Karachi, come to think of it poor karachites have a raw deal when it comes to fashion. All the trendsetters seem to be in Lahore .
Nadya’s designs are an absolute mystery where does she come up with that stuff ! Maria B at one point was churning out a really good collection but it all seems a bit bland now. Being an Ex karachitte I would recommend Shela , Faiza Samee, Aroosa, Huma, and then there is of course Sana and Safinaz there styles are a lot different then that of karma’s but they do a lot of experimenting with sequence, material and colours they do great cut’s but then again fashion is about your personal style the only problem is that they don’t do ‘Prêt porter’ .
Window shopping is quite rubbish in Karachi in terms of ‘ready to wear’ you are better of buying magazines eg. Visage, libas, Fashion collection etc which will give you a more vast idea on fashion, designers etc.
Short shirts and straight pants are really IN as are Indian shalwars. Two toned Kameez shalwars are really hot as are contrasting colours . Jamawar (hand loomed material a lot like banarasi kapara ) is still quite popular .
Rabi centre in Tariq road is very popular for material and is cheaper than Ashiana.
