Hi,
I’d like to know if hiring full time, what would a karigar expect as full time salary or daily wage? I know Islamabad might be expensive from Lahore or Karachi but I’d like an idea on that if someone knows already. Or is it best to make arrangement with people already doing it on per piece basis.
Any comments/private messages will be appreciated.

In that case not full time, but if you know someone reliable (or a group) who'll finish the work when they say they will - I won't mind considering working on per piece basis with them. Its a nightmare situation not to be able to complete orders on time just because karigars don't finish their work as per their commitment. As i mentioned earlier, found a couple of them here but in the long run, won't be enough for the work load. Thanks

try F-11 market in islamabad. there are good workers there.
you can try some in commercial market too.they might be a bit cheaper.

I think I was not able to communicate my point effectively, I don't know any in Islamabad but in Lahore I knew some who are marvelous with their work n meet the deadlines. But that won't suit you is it?

I understood what you said. Since my initial post was that I want to hire full time, I understand that cannot happen if I go for anyone in Lahore but that still remains an option though. I mean if I can place order with karigars in lahore, that's not a problem as such as long as I know where to go and meet them. (Can schedule a trip over the weekends)

Are you dealing with them already ? I tried hiring them for a month recently and all of them had a death back in village one after another and unka chai cigarette aur chuttiyoan ka koi hisaab hee nai tha and now I am back to per piece basis. It was a difference cost-wise for those few days but I dont have energy to deal with their crap ! not to mention they completed 3/4th of the orders in a month ..nuqsaan alag hua deadlines tak kaam complete na honay ka 
Maybe if you hire a male manager who know how to abuse

^ agree. lagta hai kay "gaon main fotagi" union ban chuki hai.
my tailor always gives this excuse for delay.

I am dealing with people in the market right now and they tend to delay a lot. Don't pick up the calls so I end up going there and then similar excuses like light nahi thee (tu kia aap motor say chaltay ho?) I think if they work in front of me, I'd at least know they are not working or have left for the village and so on. Deductions in the salary based on attendance should solve the problem of frequent deaths back home, no? In that case I can have some alternative option like going to someone else and getting it done on time.

No idea..I still paid on per piece basis for that month and it was much cheaper than what I paid earlier.

if you can keep an eye and follow them for 10-12 hours a day, it might work :k: meray may itna patience nai hai

Well, I might be completely wrong about that but still would like to give it a try. I already have a full time tailor. He’s the same tailor I used to give dresses to, and they used to get so delayed and now I get everything on time and as I want them. (Almost all the times)

Any good machine embroidery guy in Rawalpindi/Islamabad? Need kinda urgently, can work with per piece basis as well but timeline is the main concern here.
