Kari pakora recipe pls

Re: Kari pakora recipe pls

I have also never heard of tomatoes in Kari but can be experienced by adding them

Re: Kari pakora recipe pls

I tried her recipe pretty much exactly as it was, and though it was good, I would definitely like to simplify the recipe next time, but using less dried chilies and kari patta. The amount of kari patta she used was so over powering, and really took away from the kari itself.

Re: Kari pakora recipe pls

my point exactly; thank you for your feedback. the dried chili and curry leaves were what i was having second thoughts about.

Re: Kari pakora recipe pls

I found the spices to be fine, but I like my pakoras plain so I didn’t add all the onions, chilis, etc. in them.

Re: Kari pakora recipe pls

my favourite dish ever and i love to eat it which my chachi cook

Re: Kari pakora recipe pls

sehar and muslimah, one other thing – is the amount of water initially added actually 5 to 6 litres, as opposed to cups?

Re: Kari pakora recipe pls

yeah…me either.
we’ve never had tomatoes or tomato paste in karhi, EVER.

we also never add anything in the pakoras for karhi…no onions, hara dhania or hari mirch. they are just plain with some spices.

Re: Kari pakora recipe pls

Help: I made loads of karri last week following bajia’s recipe… but for some reason I was left over with tonnes of shorba. I’ve already frozen two boxes of karri pakoras + shorba as I had loads of the salan left as well… but don’t know what to do with the extra shorba. It’s enough for one big box on it’s own. Shall I throw it away? It took like 3 hours to make :frowning:

Re: Kari pakora recipe pls

And they are called “phulki” rather than pakora!

Re: Kari pakora recipe pls

Freeze it. It is not called shorba. It is just called karhi

Re: Kari pakora recipe pls

Ditto!
