Remember her orange/reddish bridal outfit she wears towards the end? what did u think of it? I dont know if I liked it or not, i mean first of all, I was a bit surprised to see a “long” shirt “full sleeved” lehnga (was it even a lehnga or salwar kameez…i couldn’t really tell) in a “indian” movie. It reminded me of pakistani bridal outfit…it was nice and she looked gorgeous…but i dont know if I really liked the outfit…

yeh ur rite, thats exactly what i thought! it did remind me very much so of a pakistani bridal outfit, esp becuase of the long kameez and long sleeves..i personally really liked it and thought it looked good on her, esp with the matching jewellery..whether id wear it or not i dont know but i did like the outfit.

Yeah; it's definitely one of those outfits that would be nice to spot on someone else at a celebration, but I don't think I would rock it.
yeah i like the outfit...but i dont like the "kaam" on it...its a bit tacky...and i dont think that particular outfit "fit" with the indian movie...im sure alot of indians in india were like..."bebo ne kya pehna hai?"
No way! I absolutely loved her outfit. Maybe it’s just me, but I really can’t stand plain looking tops on lehngas. It just looks like a t-shirt and skirt, in my opinion. That’s why I was happy to see her sporting the empire waisted/peshwas type top. I love everything about it from the color combination(a deep almost burgandy dupatta and a rusty red-orange top), to the cut, to the jewelry. I definitely would get better job done for the kaam though.
I do agree that it was a surprise to see it at a full on indian/hindu wedding scene, but I think she carried the look very well because of her tall slender figure. Also, i liked that it was a different look but still retained the traditional dulhany-ness to it. --not too modern, if you know what I mean. And she was wearing a standard lehnga skirt, by the way.
haha i was gonna make the sameee exact thread on here! i loved her whole bridal look and i THINK manish malhotra designed it. its a nice dress.. the color, the style of it and the jewelry looked really pretty

^ agreed! i love the colour combo of orange and burgundy and i loved her whole look in the flim. It was kinda quirky but she looked really nice, with the lil nose ring and minimal makeup!
that outfit reminds me of something that was or stil may be on seasonsindia.com it was blue and had the similar belted area with bigger stones and i think the material was a blue shiny material that was really popular with indina clothing some time back.
I loved that outfit in the movie! It looked fab even when she was waering a helmet on top. Her baby pink lehnga that she wore in her on-screen marriage scene was fab as well.

i finally watched 3 idiots yesterday, and totally fell in love with the color combination of kareena's outfit. The kaam looked a bit busy to me.
my wedding is coming up in Dec., and I'm frantically trying to think of an outfit! What do you guys think of using the same color combination, but in a more traditional gharara setting? Any ideas??

This outfit reminded me of the wedding ceremony of Hare Krishna's devotee. They have really good fashion. The couple wears amazing dress which symbolizes many things in their religion. Also, they have henna on their bodies which also represents many things.
i Actually realllly liked this outfit! i was happy that i saw it on the big screen because it was nice! i was shocked as well that a pakistani looking outfit would show up in an indian movie? lol
